Authors Note: I know that this is a short chapter, and that there's not much between each part of the song, but I really just wanted to get this chapter up now. I've been working on it for a while and don't think I'll ever continue without posting this first. And the reason why there is not much between the parts of the song is because I had not had a song picked out for this chapter, only songs for the rest of the chapters and it didn't feel right leaving this without one. So, after a bit of searching I found a song that mostly works and here it is.
Chapter 1: Pain and Sorrow
Out in the street somebody's crying Out in the night the fires burn Maybe tonight somebody's crying Reached the point of no return Oh - my eyes they see but I can't believe Oh - my heart is heavy as I turn my back and leave
She stepped into the dark, cold chamber. The candle light flickered on her face as tears began to run from her eyes, wetting her cheeks. Strands of dark long red hair fell from her loose ponytail onto her shoulders and down her back covering her tattoo of a small blue star joined with a green heart on her shoulder, just barely visible under the straps of her blood red garb that matched her hair so perfectly.
Like the eagle and the dove Fly so high on wings above When all you see can only bring you sadness Like a river we will flow On towards the sea we go When all you do can only bring you sadness Out on the sea of madness
Dropping to her knees, she kneeled in a pool of blood. Her brothers blood. Alec, just barely nineteen, only two years older than herself, lay infront of her with blood spilling out of seven wounds.
As the severity of what was infront of her dawned on her, her heart broke into infinite amount of pieces. They stabbed at every part of her, making her feel numb and weak.
Somewhere I hear a voice that's calling Out in the dark there burns a dream You got to hope when you are falling To find the world that you have seen Oh - my eyes they see but I can't believe Oh - my heart is heavy as I turn my back and leave
Next to him lay a dagger. Picking it up, she could feel the cool metal stain her hands with the blood that covered it. The dull light from the candles that lined the wall allowed her to see the hilt. On one side was a dragons head, the other a wolf. They curled down into two snake heads for the cross piece.
She knew this blade.
Like the eagle and the dove Fly so high on wings above When all you see can only bring you sadness Like a river we will flow On towards the sea we go When all you do can only bring you sadness Out on the sea of madness
Clutching the weapon in one hand, and holding her brother in the other, she began to cry harder than she had ever cried in her life. Her head swam. Shutting her eyes tightly, she dropped her head and sobbed into her brothers chest.
It's madness The sun don't shine On the sea of madness There ain't no wind to fill your sails Madness when all you see can only bring you sadness On towards the sea we go...
Out in the street somebody's crying Out in the night the fires burn Maybe tonight somebody's crying Reached the point of no return Oh - my eyes they see but I can't believe Oh - my heart is heavy as I turn my back and leave
The air became colder, like ice. She lifted her head slightly. Her whole body was soaked with tears and blood. A chill ran down her spine, making her tremble. Though her eyes were blurred from the rough lighting and the tears she had shed, she could make out a figure coming slowly from the shadowed corner.
Like the eagle and the dove Fly so high on wings above When all you see can only bring you sadness Like a river we will flow On towards the sea we go When all you do can only bring you sadness Out on the sea of madness

Chapter 2: Memories
He was clad all in black. Coming closer, the light from the torches that lined the walls revealed his pale complexion, his silver eyes, and his dark spiky hair that matched the features of the body in her arms exactly as if they were twins. But they weren’t. Michael was three years older than Alec, and the eldest of the four Elwe children. Infact, Derek, who was Alec’s actual twin, looked nothing like him except for the eyes. He looked more like her.
“Hello Allessia.” He said, his voice full of menace.
Her head spun. Not Mike. Not her brother. He had always been there for her. And now... How could he?
She closed her eyes tightly. She tried to open her mouth to speak. To yell. To cream. Anything. But she was unable. As if she had forgotten how.
Her mind became cloudy, remembering...
From the coast of gold, across the seven seas I'm travellin' on, far and wide But now it seems, I'm just a stranger to myself And all the things I sometimes do, it isn't me but someone else
She was eight. A frantic little girl caught in a throng of people at a carnival.
“Mikey!” She sobbed.
Her father had told her to wait with him while he too the twins to the bathroom. But she hadn’t listened. She wanted to pet the ponies that they had their.
Taking off at a run, she went to the pony she had been watching and pet his nose gently. But a pretty little bird caught her eye.
Hurrying over to the bird, she had went to stroke it’s feathers, but her impatientness, having scared it, sent the bird squawking into the air, causing it to scratch her arm with it’s talons.
She had run away and now stood near a crowded booth. Small tears ran down her face as she held her bleeding arm. Her face was sad, but her eyes were full of fear and loneliness.
“Allie?” Came the sound of a familiar voice. Spinning around, she ran tot her brother and hugged him. Her gently wiped the blood from her scratch, and the tears from her face before leading her back to their father.
I close my eyes, and think of home Another city goes by in the night Ain't it funny how it is, you never miss it 'til it's gone away And my heart is lying there and will be 'til my dying day
Now she was twelve.
Her best friend had died in a car accident.
“I’m not going.” She sobbed into the pillow clutched to her chest as she sat curled up in the corner of the couch.
“Allie.” He tried to protest, but she shook her head and began to cry again. He pulled her into a tight hug. “It’s her funeral.” His words were soft and comforting. “Don’t you want to say good bye?”
She pulled away and looked down at her hands. “Yes.” Her words were quiet and muffled.
So understand Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up... make your stand And realise you're living in the golden years
He had always been so kind and sweet to her. She smiled slightly. But soon, the smile was gone and her brow began to furrow as she remembered something she witness when she was fifteen, just shortly after he fathers death.
Too much time on my hands, I got you on my mind Can't ease this pain, so easily When you can't find the words to say it's hard to make it through another day And it makes me wanna cry and throw my hands up to the sky
Micheal had shown no emotion. None at all. He went about his normal day, not laughing anymore, but not crying either. His face was stone, unchanging.
She was curious, as she always was. So, her and Derek followed him one day. He was going to his friends, or so they thought. He went the opposite way, and stopped his car in a dark alley. Someone else was there. She could not make him out in the darkness, but he pulled someone from his pocket. As he handed it to Micheal, the moonlight shone on it, allowing her to see it. It was a dagger.
So understand Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up... make your stand And realise you're living in the golden years
It was the same dagger she now held in her hand.
She stopped crying, and opened her eyes. They were no longer sad. They were cold, cold as ice. Filled with hatred. “How. Dare. You!” She emphasized each word, filling them with more and more hatred.
